Meet the Mind: a bit about me

Hi, I'm Kaili.

Before I'm a counsellor, I'm a mum of two, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Those roles have shaped the way I show up in my work—with empathy, curiosity, and a deep understanding that life is beautifully messy.

I'm also (proudly):

  •  A Child and Youth Care Practitioner (CYCP)

  • A birth trauma survivor (twice)

  • Neurodivergent

  •  An intentional cycle-breaker

  • A feminist

  • A mental health advocate

  • An attachment-based, trauma-informed professional

I believe that healing doesn't come from striving for perfection. It comes from feeling understood, building meaningful connections, and creating small, intentional changes that align with your values.

My practice is rooted in empowerment, collaboration, and helping people find confidence and joy in the everyday moments that often matter most.

Whether you're a parent feeling overwhelmed, a teen navigating life's challenges, or someone looking to break generational patterns, you don't have to figure it out alone.

If you're wondering where to start, let's begin with a conversation. Together, we'll find a path that fits your unique story.

Scope of Practice

As a Child and Youth Care (CYC) Practitioner in Ontario and a member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC), my work centers on building therapeutic, developmentally-responsive relationships with children, youth, and families.

CYC practice supports individuals through emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges using strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches. We work in the context of everyday life - helping people grow, heal, and thrive through authentic connection and purposeful intervention.

As an OACYC member, I follow a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice that uphold:

  • Respect for dignity and rights

  • Relational integrity

  • Equity and inclusion

  • Confidentiality and informed consent

  • Ongoing professional growth

My practice is guided by these principles to ensure safe, ethical, and effective support.
